The Eternal Covenant of Peace

Today’s Feast

Apr. 21, 2014 – Isaiah 54

The Eternal Covenant of Peace

Gods Not Dead! Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

27 For it is written,
 “Rejoice, O barren one who does not bear;
    break forth and cry aloud, you who are not in labor!
For the children of the desolate one will be more
    than those of the one who has a husband.”
 Galatians 4:27

Isaiah Chapter 54, “The increase of the church by the conversion of the Jews and Gentiles. (1-5) Its certain deliverance. (6-10) Its triumphant state is described. (11-17)” -  Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Praise God Jesus has risen!  Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading Isaiah Chapter 54.    A promise for salvation is made to all mankind Jew and Gentile (see Genesis 28:14) alike.  It is the Lord's covenant of peace (see Ezekiel 34:25) for all people.  Those that fear God will have the victory; “17  no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed,
    and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
    and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”
Isaiah 53:11-12  English Standard Versions (ESV.  We are safe and secure, more than victors in the arms of Jesus; I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.”  John 10:28-30 ESV.  No enemy can succeed against Jesus (see 1 John 5:4) and those who trust in him.   This is the eternal covenant of peace; “[God's Everlasting Love] 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.” Romans 8:31-33 ESV.

O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  1 Corinthians 15:55-57 ESV.
