All God’s enemies they could gain by violence was, forcing people into hypocritical conformity; “22 Thus says your Lord, the Lord, your God who pleads the cause of his people: “Behold, I have taken from your hand the cup of staggering; the bowl of my wrath you shall drink no more; 23 and I will put it into the hand of your tormentors,  who have said to you,  ‘Bow down, that we may pass over’; and you have made your back like the ground and like the street for them to pass over.”” Isaiah 49:25-26  English Standard Versions (ESV).  Today people still deny Jesus is Lord much as they did on (see 1 Corinthians 1:18) Good Friday. “[Christ the Wisdom and Power of God] For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”  1 Corinthians 1:18 ESV.  Remember the person who speaks against Jesus can still be forgiven those who never turn to Jesus will die in their sin;  “3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3 ESV.
