The Weekender Feast Dec 9-11, 2011 - Genesis 27-29 Dear Saints, This weekend we prayerfully continue our Feast in Genesis 27 to Genesis 29. As we Feast we see many examples of God’s love and grace. We see that a mans word was binding even in treachery; “33Then Isaac trembled very violently and said, "Who was it then that hunted game and brought it to me, and I ate it all before you came, and I have blessed him? Yes, and he shall be blessed." Genesis 26:6-7 English Standard Version (ESV). God created the world with a word, he can build up or take out with a word. God wants us to know that our words are binding. After all we are created in his image; “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19 ESV. Is driving just five miles over the speed limit, just a little sin. Is it counted by God as sin like a little white lie;” 21They said, "Caesar’s." Then he said to them, "Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.“ Matthew 22:21 ESV. There is no little “white lie” it is all sin and God will not abide with sin. There are no short cuts to God, the path is truly narrow and our hearts are evil. “Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 ESV. When we fall into sin don’t wallow in it, get up turn your back on sin and ask God to forgive you. “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.” John 15:5,8 ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything. It really is not about “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! Jesus is calling, accept Jesus into your heart? If you hear him calling it’s not to late. Just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart, turning from sin, and you need fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strive to measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus. Know this if you sinned the sin that can’t be forgiven, you won’t hear Jesus calling.
