The Feast Dec 5, 2011 - Genesis 23 Dear Saints, Good Monday to everyone I pray you all had a blessed weekend, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Genesis 23. God called Sarah home at one hundred twenty three years of age. Many people would just say Sarah died, but she had a full life at a hundred and twenty three years old. This takes us back to issue number one. For any new Saint’s issue number one is Salvation free through the sacrifice of Jesus. He paid the full price for our Salvation when he died on the cross. He rose again overcoming death for all that believe, turn from their sin and ask Jesus to come in as Lord of their life. That brings us to face several things. We were created in God’s image that means we are eternal beings. Sin entered through one man Adam. Sin was paid for by one man the only begotten son of God, Jesus. God’s grace and easy way to remember what that means is; “Gods Riches At Christ’s Expense.” Now we get the whole picture the death that God gives as a blessing to take us out of a world of sin to abide in his presence for eternity. Well then what is so bad about death? Well do any who die ignoring God’s precious gift still get eternal life. The answer is a resounding “YES”! However it won’t be with God. They will live a tortured eternal life separated from the the father; “22The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried, 23and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. 24And he called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.' 25But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.'" Luke 16:22-26 ESV.
So then we see that we must accept God’s gift of eternal life now. If we just obey God, turn from sin and accept his gift. God will provide a new home and body for us with him for eternity. If we reject the gift of eternal life with God, we will live eternally in misery and torture, eternally thirsty. I would think that this knowledge would make everyone of us want to share Jesus with every soul we meet it is the great commission;”18And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20. Now try not sharing Jesus and the Grace of God without feeling very uncomfortable Saint. You may get ridiculed but what is that to eternal separation from God.
“So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:7, 9-10 ESV I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast please feel free To write to me, I love your input at; mlitew8@gmail.com. I’m looking forward to your input. Have a great day if the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
Softly and sweetly Jesus is calling, accept Jesus into your heart? If your answer is yes, say a simple prayer inviting Jesus to be Lord of your life;”Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner. Please come into my life and help me to turn from sin. Seal me with your Holy Spirit. Let me live everyday with you and for you.” -Amen. If you said this simple prayer, you need fellowship and so do we. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus we need fellowship. “Therefore Jesus said again, 'Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” - John 10:7, 9-10
