The Feast

Dec 8, 2011 - Genesis 26

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Genesis 26. Today's Feast sounds familiar; 6So Isaac settled in Gerar. 7When the men of the place asked him about his wife, he said, "She is my sister," for he feared to say, "My wife," thinking, "lest the men of the place should kill me because of Rebekah," because she was attractive in appearance." Genesis 26:6-7 English Standard Version (ESV). Now is my memory (more than normal) failing me? Didn’t Isaac’s father tell the same little “white lie”? Was this a common lie in these times; “2And Abraham said of Sarah his wife,"She is my sister." And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah.” Genesis 20:2. I don’t think so I think sin is common for man. How serious is a little white lie? Look at it this way it separates man from God and his love. So how does God feel about a sin that little white lie;” 16There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, 19 a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.Proverbs 6:16 - 19. There is no little “white lie” it is all sin and God will not abide with sin. There are no short cuts to God, the path is truly narrow. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.John 14:6 ESV

I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast please feel free To write mlitew8@gmail.com. I’m looking forward to your input. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Can you hear him? Jesus is calling, accept Jesus into your heart? If you hear him calling it’s not too late. Just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart, turning from sin, and you need fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strive to measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints for whom Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin. Our only action is to repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus. Know this if you sinned the sin that can’t be forgiven, you won’t hear Jesus calling. If you have trouble finding a good bible believing church in your neighborhood send me an email and I’ll see if I can help; mlitew8@yahoo.com

You the living Saints that are God’s Church, made by his hands, God will bless you as you pray continuously with us. We would love to add your Praise and Prayer request. mlitew8@gmail.com

Stand ready no matter how you feel; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything. It really is not about religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus.
