Today’s Feast
Feb. 14, 2014 – Ecclesiastes 12
What Is The Duty Of Man?
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but
a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Ecclesiastes Chapter 12, “A description of the
infirmities of age. (1-7) All is vanity: also a warning of the judgment to
come. (8-14)” -
Matthew Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Ecclesiastes Chapter12. As we remember or recognize our
sins we should repent and ask God’s forgiveness. Having done that rebuke the evil one in the
name of Jesus (see Romans 8:1)
when he returns to condemn us for what God has forgiven. “13 The end
of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for
this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into
judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.“ Ecclesiastes 10:20 English
Standard Version (ESV). Satan is the accuser he is not our judge,
Jesus alone paid the price for our sin (see John 15:13). That is because God showed perfect love for us when
he sent,
Christ to pay for our trespasses. “34 A new
commandment I give to you, that you love one another just as I have loved
you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that
you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”“ John 13:34-35 ESV.
When we share the good news with that same love of God, they will know
that Jesus sent us to share his love with them.
Is Jesus calling you? Do you want to share his love? Do you want to find true happiness, peace
and purpose in your life? If the
