Blessed With A New Covenant?

(18-25)”  -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Isaiah Chapter 19.   God passes judgment on Egypt giving her over (see Ezekiel 29:19) to a harsh ruler.  The Egyptians will turn from their perverse ways and seek God, and then God will hear them and heal their souls. “19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. 20 It will be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt. When they cry to the Lord because of oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and deliver them. 21 And the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day and worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will make vows to the Lord and perform them.” Isaiah 19:19-21   English Standard Versions (ESV).   Our Lord God does not want anyone to die in their sins.  When people turn from their wickedness and seek the love of Jesus God will be true to honor the covenant (see Hebrews 9:15) and save them. “[The Lord Is My Shepherd] [A Psalm of David.] The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalm 23:1-3   ESV.   By having repenting from our sinful ways and asking Jesus into our hearts we are made free from sin partakers in the new (see Luke 22:20) covenant with God.
