Matthew 15 The Feast

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Mat 15   l The Feast Daily Edition l Jan 16, 2012 Matthew 15   Dear Saints,   Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in the New Testament Matthew 15. In this Scripture is we see Jesus fulfilling scriptural prophesy, it would be hard to miss the healing, feedings and all the miracles being performed; “29 Jesus went on from there and walked beside the Sea of Galilee. And he went up on the mountain and sat down there. 30 And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them, 31 so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.” Matthew 15:29-31 - English Standard Version (ESV). Listen to what we are feasting on. This is how we can tell that Jesus wants us to understand, that religion is dead. There is life in our relationship with Jesus; “5 But you say, ‘If anyone tells his father or his mother, “What you would have gained from me is given to God,” 6 he need not honor his father.’ So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word of God. 7 You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said: 8 “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; 9 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”” Matthew 16:5-9 ESV. It is not about “tradition” or “religion”, it is about a relationship with Jesus. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now. “[Keep in Step with the Spirit] But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”Galatians 5:16 ESV. You are an eternal being, where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with God? To be sure turn from sin just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart. Now turning from sin, and seek fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strive to measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus.
