The Feast Weekend Matthew 5-7

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Mat 5-7

l The Feast Weekend Edition l

Jan 6-8, 2012 Matthew 5-7

Dear Saints,

This weekend we prayerfully continue the Feast in the New Testament Matthew 5 - 7. In this Scripture is where we see Jesus explaining the Christian life and what it leads to. All of God’s Word is food for the Soul. There is not one word more important than another. If you take one thing with you from this weekends Feast take this; “[I Never Knew You] 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’“ Matthew 7:21-23 - English Standard Version (ESV). Not more than the rest of God’s Word nor less than the rest of God’s Word but, it explains why we say our relationship with Jesus is more important than religion! I know that I said; “It is not about “Religion” here Jesus says it is about “Relationship”. Our relationship with him and just as importantly his with us, he has already finished all the work; “ 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!Matthew 7:7-11 - ESV. Now we see how important it is to focus on relationship as we Feast on God’s Word. Then commit it to heart so we can share it with those who are still seeking God. Please remember to keep the first thing first. That’s salvation the gift of God. So now we can go forward, walking humbly, pronouncing Jesus the Christ to a hungry world. We are called with the Holy calling;

[Called to Be Holy] Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.1 Peter 1:13 ESV. 1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God .” Romans 5:1-2 - English Standard Version (ESV)
