The Feast Matthew 4

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Mat 4

l The Feast Daily Edition l

Wed Jan 5, 2012 Matthew 4

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in the New Testament Matthew 4. In this Scripture is where we see Jesus being tempted by Satan. It’s good that we study God’s Word. When Satan tells Jesus to make loves of bread from the rocks Jesus doesn't rail back at him. He tells Satan what the Word says about eating earthly bread; “‘And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.’Deuteronomy 8:3 - English Standard Version (ESV).

Jesus knows it doesn’t make sense to argue with Satan, instead he gently reminds him of the whole Word of God. This is another reason why our feast is so important. When sharing God’s Word with a sinner there is no gain in accusing them of sinning. They already know that their life is not right. We are better off telling them how much God loves them and using God’s Word to explain this to them; “8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Romans 5:8 - ESV. Now we see how important it is to constantly study God’s Word. Then commit it to heart so we can share it with those who are still against God; “23 Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. 24 And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.2 Timothy 2:23-26 (ESV). Please remember to keep the first thing first. That’s salvation the gift of God. So now we can go forward, walking humbly, pronouncing Jesus the Christ to a hungry world.

.

Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.Isaiah 1:16-17 ESV. I’m looking forward to your input. I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added / changed on the prayer list please feel free To write mlitew8@gmail.com. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.

1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God .” Romans 5:1-2 - English Standard Version (ESV)
