The Feast     Nov 30, 2011 - Genesis 18 Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Genesis 18 and Genesis 17 . As we read the Feast we see that God chooses to tell Abraham of his plan for Sodom. This inspires the first episode of “Let’s Make a Deal; “ 27Abraham answered and said, "Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes. 28Suppose five of the fifty righteous are lacking. Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?" And he said, "I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there."29Again he spoke to him and said, "Suppose forty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of forty I will not do it." 30Then he said, "Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Suppose thirty are found there." He answered, "I will not do it, if I find thirty there." 31He said, "Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it." 32Then he said, "Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose ten are found there." He answered, "For the sake of ten I will not destroy it." 33And the LORD went his way, when he had finished speaking to Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place." Genesis 18:27-33 English Standard Version (ESV). You know this screams of Salvation “Issues Number One”. That’s salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ! When we accept Jesus as our Savior his righteousness is what God sees when he looks at us. Because we are covered by the Blood of the Lamb, and sealed by the Holy Spirit. The whole Trinity of God makes our salvation promise a Bond with the Creator. Get ready the Day can be upon you before you can blink an eye.   “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and follow Jesus. We worship and fellowship with the Saints that measures up to God’s Word. Jesus is calling, accept Jesus into your heart? If you answered yes you need fellowship and so do we. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strive to measures up to God’s Word.
