The Best of
the Feast
Mar 8, 2017 – Proverbs 23
Who’s Raising Your
Children?
“14 Now for the third time I am ready to come
to you. And I will not be burdensome to you; for I do not seek yours, but
you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents
for the children.” 2
Corinthians 12:14 NKJV
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Proverbs Chapter 23.
Today’s
Feast is about relationships. There is nothing more important than
the relationship between a person and Jesus. Sobriety is addressed
in today’s Feast. The relationship between a parent and children is so very
important so there will I dwell for the day. “13 Do not withhold correction from a child, For if you
beat him with a rod, he will not die. 14 You shall beat him with a rod, And
deliver his soul from hell.” Proverbs 23:13-14 New King
James Version (NKJV). God’s Word contains many commandments the
first one that comes with a promise is the commandment that deals with the
relationship between children and their parents (see Ephesians 6:2). A child that
is not raised with instruction in God’s Word is being cheated by the parents,
Jesus said “Let the Children Come to Me”; (seeLuke 18:15-17) and when we do they can
be successful in Jesus. “7 Do not be
deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who
sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” Galatians 6:7-8 ESV. As
Christians, it is up to us to instill Godly values in our children. Parents
must teach children whom to obey (see Colossians 3:20). When
children are raised to obey their parents, they learn to please God (see Ephesians 6:1). The
world (Satan) will happily raise your children, but not unto salvation. The
promise of God’s salvation needs to be shared with our children (See Acts 2:38-39). If
are children are taught to obey Jesus and their parents (See 2 Corinthians 12:14)
there will be peace in the family. If the Lord is willing I will write and
post the Feast tomorrow.
Listen! Is Jesus calling you? Are you ready to answer Him? Do you want to find true happiness, peace
and purpose in your life? If the answer
is yes to any of these questions, please click the following link; admenu.com/calling.html.
Today’s Verse; Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and
know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in
the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24 NKJV.
