6 September 2011 – Jonah 1 & Jonah 2

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in God's Word in Jonah 1 & Jonah 2 . When God calls us to testify in his name do we move forward declaring the name of the Creator? Or do we run or just ignore the opportunity to share God's love. Is it because we don't like the person or persons we know we should be witnessing to? Maybe we feel intimidated by the persons and their possible reactions? In either case we should think of the price that was payed by our Lord and Savior, then our aversion to witnessing becomes petty; “8 Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their hope of steadfast love. 9 But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Salvation belongs to the LORD!" Jonah 1:8-9 The Holy Bible English Standard Version (ESV), With all of this in mind we should follow Christs commandment; “And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 ESV. Please remember you can reach me in an email to me: mailto:mstanj@hotmail.com .

Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” John 14:23 ESV

Jonah Overview;

Jonah was a native of Galilee, 2Ki 14:25. His miraculous deliverance from out of the fish, rendered him a type of our blessed Lord, who mentions it, so as to show the certain truth of the narrative. All that was done was easy to the almighty power of the Author and Sustainer of life. This book shows us, by the example of the Ninevites, how great are the Divine forbearance and long-suffering towards sinners. It shows a most striking contrast between the goodness and mercy of God, and the rebellion, impatience, and peevishness of his servant; and it will be best understood by those who are most acquainted with their own hearts.

Don't hate Sinner, the sin just needs to be cast off by the blood of the Lamb and we have a new Saint.” – Matthew Henry Concise

How are you building your relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything. It really is not about religion”, it is about a relationship. Just follow this link; http://www.admenu.com/am/Banner.html

Many Saints pray to accept Jesus as their Savior and turn from our sin. If you do, you need fellowship and so do we. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and follow Jesus. We worship and fellowship in a Church that measures up to God's Word.

The Golden Rule

12 "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. 13 "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few Matthew 7:12-14 ESV
