7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Mat 16
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in the New Testament Matthew 16. In this Scripture is we see Jesus telling the disciples that it is more profitable to gain a relationship with him than success of and in the world; “24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?” Matthew 16:24-26 - English Standard Version (ESV). Listen to what we are feasting on. I got a pamphlet advertising to to cure all the ails of senior life. They had health and diet tips also how to succeed financially. How to get along with your spouse now that you are retired. The thing that seniors, (the same as all people) need the most salvation was not even hinted at. Well I guess it’s true that man needs more than bread to live; “2He answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ 3 And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.” Matthew 16:5-9 ESV. I say it again, it is not about “tradition” or “religion”, it is about a relationship with Jesus. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. “Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.”Philippians 2:14-16 ESV. I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added / changed on the prayer list please write mlitew8@gmail.com. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

“Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.” - Matthew 6:2 ESV
