Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading
Psalms
51. Here we see the
leader of a nation broken down his heart in his hand seeking God’s
forgiveness. David is revealing his heart to God. He is truly repentant of
where his sinful flesh has put him. “
15 O
Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16 For
You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give
it; You do not
delight in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God
are
a broken spirit A broken and a contrite heart — These, O God, You will not
despise.“
Psalm 51:15-17 – New King James Version (NKJV). I
know our leaders need to do the same for our governments to please
God. Saints we have a responsibility in the direction our nation is
going! Should we complain and harden our hearts because we feel our
politicians have betrayed us? They won’t listen to
us! How can we get through to them? Are we pleasing Jesus
(see
John 14:15)? The answer is here in God’s Word, pray listen to the Holy Spirit
reminding us what our responsibility is; “
14 if
My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek
My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and
will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 New King James Version (NKJV). As
Christians, it’s up to us to seek God in the name of Jesus, with truly
repentant hearts. “
1 My little children, these things
I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an
Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”
1
John 2:1 NKJV. if the
lord is willing i will write and post the feast tomorrow.
Today’s verse;
“5 God
thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend.
6 For He says to the snow, ‘Fall
on the
earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.
” Job 37:5-6 NKJV.
