Today’s Feast
Dec. 13,
2015 – I Samuel 30
How Do We
Approach Sinners?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.
We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in
God’s Word in approximately three years.
“4 When he had called together all the
people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the
Christ was to be born.
5 "In Bethlehem in
Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:
6 " 'But you, Bethlehem,
in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for
out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.' "
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully and faithfully continue the Feast in 1 Samuel
Chapter
30; “Ziklag spoiled by the Amalekites. (1-6) David overtakes the Amalekites. (7-15) He recovers what had been lost.(16-20) David's distribution of the spoil. (21-31)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
David’s men begin to murmur against him because Ziklag has been
spoiled by the Amalekites. David drew strength from the Lord God, God tells
him to pursue the Amalekites. When David overtakes the Amalekites and he
decimates them. God restores all that had been lost to David and his men.
David’s distribution of the spoil includes gifts to the elders of Judah. “26 When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the
spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying, “Here is a present for you
from the spoil of the enemies of the Lord.” 27 It
was for those in Bethel, in Ramoth of the Negeb, in Jattir, 28 inAroer,
in Siphmoth, in Eshtemoa, 29 in Racal, in
the cities of the Jerahmeelites, in the cities of the Kenites, 30 in Hormah,
in Bor-ashan, in Athach, 31 in Hebron, for
all the places where David and his men had roamed.” 1
Samuel 30:26-31, ESV. Because
God restored everything to David, he was careful to restore everything to his
people. We
must always be aware of those who surround us. Approach sinners earnestly to
win them over to our God filled life. “8 Be
sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls
around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist
him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering
are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.”
1
Peter 5:8-9, ESV. Being aware that
we to were once lost in sin. We can keep the first thing first, salvation
through the blood of the lamb, Jesus.
If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html. Prayer request or Praise reports can be
sent to brother Mike at; mike@admenu.com
Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship.
Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus
sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept
Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day
and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the
Father only.” Matthew
24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do
not wait while you try to change anything.
