What Does God Want?

Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Mark Chapter 9; “The transfiguration. (1-13) An evil spirit cast out. (14-29) The apostles reproved. (30-40) Pain to be preferred to sin. (41-50)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we see Jesus telling the disciples, that those who do works in His name should be allowed to continue in good works; “38 Now John answered Him, saying, "Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us." 39 But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. 40 "For he who is not against us is on our side. 41 For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward” Mark 9:38-41, NKJV. What reward will the radical Islamic or anyone who does wrong will receive for just hurting Christians. “42 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.” Mark:9:42 NKJV. Our tendency might be to say they are getting what they deserve! We might think God loves celebrates in taking their lives. “19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.“ Romans 12:19 NKJV. The truth is God is not willing for anyone, not even the Muslim Radicals to die in their sins; “9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NKJV. This scripture tells us God wants us to forgive and pray for all men; “25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25 NKJV. God's Word makes clear what God wants for every person! If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast tomorrow. Is Jesus knocking at your door? Are you ready to answer God’s call? Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” Matthew 24:36 NKJV.
