Please join us sharing God’s
Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and
reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three year. Gods Not Dead!
“And now these
three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians
13:13
Jeremiah Chapter 18, “God's power over his creatures is
represented by the potter. (1-10) The
Jews exhorted to repentance, and judgments foretold. (11-17) The
prophet appeals to God. (18-23)” - Matthew Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the
book of Jeremiah Chapter 18. God shows Jeremiah His relationship to His creation
(see Jeremiah
18:1-10) in a visit to the potter working the clay. God warns the sinners in Judah and
Jerusalem that their wicked ways (see Jeremiah 18:11-17) will bring
destruction on them. As a nation we
need to turn to God in prayer with repentance (see 2
Chronicles 7:14) if we want God to heal our lands. Jeremiah calls on God’s chosen people to turn
from their wicked ways and ask God to forgive them (see Jeremiah 18:18-23) instead they stubbornly
deny God and attack the prophet. “23 Yet you,
O Lord, know all their plotting to kill me. Forgive not their
iniquity, nor blot out their sin from your sight. Let them be overthrown
before you; deal with them in the time of your anger.“ Jeremiah 18:23 English Standard Versions (ESV). Though God’s only requirement for salvation
is to turn from that which destroys us and ask forgiveness in Jesus
name (see John 3:19) many people would rather
deny the existence of God. Saints we
must reach out in love to those who are lost remembering that (see 2
Peter 3:9) Jesus isn’t willing that any should perish. “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one
another in showing honor.” Romans 12:10 ESV.
God does not tolerate hatred toward the sinner (see 1
Corinthians 13:1-3) so as ambassadors for Christ we are to reach out in love! We must never compromise (see 2
Timothy 4:3) the
Word of God to accommodate sin of any kind.
Can you hear Jesus calling you? Are you ready to follow Jesus? Do you want to find true happiness, peace
