Jan. 20, 2014 – Proverbs 22 Who Will Rescue The Saints? “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10 Proverbs 22   “Verse 1.  We should be more careful to do that by which we may get and keep a good name, than to raise or add unto a great estate.  Verse 28. We are taught not to trespass on another man's right. And it is hard to find a truly industrious man. Such a man will rise. Seest thou a man diligent in the business of religion? He is likely to excel. Let us then be diligent in God's work..” -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu - Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Proverbs Chapter 22. Today’s Feast says that the foolish waste what is theirs.  Wise men will not trespass on another man’s rights.  “28 Do not move the ancient landmark that your fathers have set. 29 Do you see a man skillful in his work?  He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” Proverbs 22:28-29 (English Standard Version) ESV.  God’s Word tell us that wise men build on a solid foundation (see Luke 6:48).  We will proclaim that Jesus is the cornerstone of a wise man’s foundation (see Acts 4:11) and beside him there is no other name by which people can be saved. “2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”  James 1:2-3  ESV.  If we meet up with adverse people or conditions when we are sharing the “Good News” we will count it all as joy (see 1 Peter 1:6).   Jesus stands ready to rescue the saints from their trials and wipe the tears from their eyes.
