Today’s Feast
How Is Life With
Our Lord?
Jesus paid the
whole price for our life into eternity.
Dec. 12, 2013 – Psalms 145
Psalms 145
“David extols the power, goodness, and mercy of the
Lord. (1-9) The glory of God's kingdom, and his care of those that love him.
(10-21)” - Matthew
Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms.
By reading Psalms 145
. David, who was under much pressure, now has much praise for God. David asked for much and God delivered him
and his men through impossible odds. Now he approaches God with thanksgiving
declaring God’s glory. “21 My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and let
all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.” Psalm 145:21 - English Standard Version (ESV). I
don’t recall any person who went to Jesus for salvation who came out saved in
worse condition than when they gave their life to Jesus. Let’s look at what happens when a person
accepts Jesus as their savior (see John 3:16). When one accepts Jesus they repent; turn
from the sin that makes them dead and miserable and Jesus forgives them. They turn this temporal life (that they
can’t keep anyway) over to Jesus. Jesus
also pays the whole price for all their sin so there is no longer any
condemnation for the new saint. Jesus
in turn gives them an eternal sin free life.
Now the new Christian begins to study God’s Word and the Holy Spirit
builds their faith. Our faith in Jesus
will carry us through every situation into eternity with Jesus (see 2 Corinthians 6:1-10). They may go
through some growing pains but in the end they are a better person. Can anyone tell me what the downside
is? “4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent
forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were
under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4-5 ESV.
Thank God in Jesus name for our new lives! Hallelujah!
