26-28 August 2011 Joel 3 – Amos 1 & 2
Dear Saints ,
This weekend we prayerfully end our Feast in God's Word in Joel 3. Then for Saturday and Sunday we begin Feasting in Amos 1 and Amos 2 We thank you Jesus, please let our relationship grow as we read your Holy Word. Father thank you for your love and help us reap as workers who have sown righteously in Jesus; “19 'Egypt shall become a desolation and Edom a desolate wilderness, for the violence done to the people of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. 20 But Judah shall be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem to all generations. 21 I will avenge their blood, blood I have not avenged, for the LORD dwells in Zion.'” Joel 3:21 The Holy Bible English Standard Version (ESV), The Lord is still calling Saints to relationship following Jesus. Again we see the first thing (salvation) first. When, we begin our relationship with God on his terms let us reap what we sow in love, God will repay as we sow; "13Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of the Ammonites, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because they have ripped open pregnant women in Gilead, that they might enlarge their border. 14So I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour her strongholds, with shouting on the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind; 15and their king shall go into exile, he and his princes together," says the LORD.” Amos 1:13-15 ESV. Please share God's love with Joy, sincerely with love. Our God is awesome and however we sow we shall reap “12"But you made the Nazirites drink wine, and commanded the prophets, saying, 'You shall not prophesy.' 13'Behold, I will press you down in your place, as a cart full of sheaves presses down. 14 Flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not retain his strength, nor shall the mighty save his life; 15he who handles the bow shall not stand, and he who is swift of foot shall not save himself, nor shall he who rides the horse save his life;16and he who is stout of heart among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day,' declares the LORD.” Amos 2:12-16 ESV. If God is willing we will share the Feast again Monday. What we sow and how we sow is the way we will reap “8 As I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.” Job 4:8 ESV. But the same Divine Spirit influenced Isaiah and Daniel in the court, and Amos in the sheep-folds, giving to each the powers and eloquence needful for them. He assures the twelve tribes of the destruction of the neighbouring nations; and as they at that time gave themselves up to wickedness and idolatry, he reproves the Jewish nation with severity; but describes the restoration of the church by the Messiah, extending to the latter days.” Matthew Henry ConciseWe hate the sin, and love the Sinner like our Lord. Many Saints pray to accept Jesus as their Savior and turn from our sin. If you do, you need fellowship! Your salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and follow Jesus. We worship and fellowship in a Church that measures up to God's Word.
God Bless you, Brother Mike
