Today’s Feast Do I Tell You How To Worship? Oct. 22, 2013 – Psalms 80 Psalms Chapter 80 - “The psalmist complains of the miseries of the church. (1-7) Its former prosperity and present desolation. (8-16) A prayer for mercy. (17-19)” - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 80. The Psalmist notes that the people of God have strayed.  He petitions God to restore His church to its former glory and asks God for mercy.  “ 18 Then we shall not turn back from you;     give us life, and we will call upon your name! 19 Restore us, O Lord God of hosts!     Let your face shine, that we may be saved!”   Psalm 80:18-19 - English Standard Version (ESV).  Sometimes I see the people I love not strictly following Jesus in a manner I think is exactly right.  Maybe I don’t agree with their theology or what they eat.  Is it my place to approach them about the way they worship or things I consider offensive (See acts 10:14-15)?  They are saved and they say they love Jesus as long as they belong to God I have no business telling them what to eat or how to worship. “3 Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. 4 Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.”  Romans 14:3-4  ESV.  I should greet them in a manner that is pleasing to Jesus and love them as a brother or sister. Then I can unite with them to work in the harvest. Worship Jesus together in spirit and truth, that is God’s will for us (See John 4:23)!   Hallelujah!
