Faraway
From God?
August 21, 2013 – Psalms 10
Today’s
Feast
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully
continue our Feast reading Psalms
10. Sometimes when we look around at the world it
seems that the ungodly are running things. They may be passing statutes that
are ungodly in nature. Promoting wars
that the peasant pays for in blood, while the wicked gain money and power.
That is probably
how David is feeling in this Psalm. He
feels that God is far off and he asking him to show himself and cure the
afflicted. “17 O Lord, you hear the
desire of the afflicted;
you will strengthen
their heart; you will incline your ear
18 to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed,
so that man who is
of the earth may strike terror no more.” - Psalms
10:19-20 English
Standard Version (ESV). If you are feeling let down and that the
world is collapsing, you understand where David is coming from. Don’t let the despair move you away from
Jesus. When you are down it’s time to
draw near to Jesus. He will never let
you down (see Hebrews
13:5) or forsake you. Prayer
and reading (see ) God’s Word is how we draw near to God.
“By day the Lord commands his
steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my
life.” Psalm
42:8 ESV.
Our friend Jesus is calling out to
us! (see John 15:13-15), listen can you hear him? He won’t call forever, now is the time to
answer his call. Do you want to find peace and purpose? If the answer is yes please click the

The Feast belongs to Jesus
you may share it anywhere with any and all!
God Bless You,
Brother Mike
