9 -12 September 2011 – 1 John 3 - 5 & 2nd John 1

Dear Saints,

This weekend we prayerfully Feast in God's Word in 1 John 3 - 5 & 2 John 1 For Monday because I have a procedure in the hospital Monday. Just as we begin our feast we see that we have more than a casual friend in Jesus. Knowing who Jesus is and being religious is not enough. You need that loving relationship with Jesus to gain salvation; “1See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure" 1 John 3:1- 3 (English Standard Version) ESV, I'll say it again; God is not willing that anyone should parish. In the end his word is a two edged sword. Some will come to him for salvation and others will reject his Word to damnation. Remember we hate the sin not the sinner. If the sinner repents of his sin and turns to God, Then washed by the blood of the Lamb and we have a new Saint. God's Word is truly a two edged sword. Those who believe him and become a friend to Jesus will have life eternal. Those who reject his offer of love and relationship are lost already; “4Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5You know that he appeared to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.. 1st John 3:4-6 ESV. Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self -controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness.” Titus 2:2 ESV

Your brother in Christ Robert Waters pick of the day;

1 COR.6:12-20 “All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be enslaved by anything.

[13] "Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food" -- and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

[14] And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.

[15] Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!

[16] Do you not know that he who joins himself to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, "The two shall become one flesh."

[17] But he who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.

[18] Shun immorality. Every other sin which a man commits is outside the body; but the immoral man sins against his own body.

[19] Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own;

[20] you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

Your Brother in Christ,

Robert Waters

How are you building your relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything. It really is not about religion”, it is about a relationship. Just follow this link; http://www.admenu.com/am/Banner.html

Many Saints pray to accept Jesus as their Savior and turn from sin. If you do, you need fellowship and so do we. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and follow Jesus. We worship and fellowship in a Church that measures up to God's Word.

About 2nd John

This epistle is like an abridgement of the first; it touches, in few words, on the same points. The Lady Electa is commended for her virtuous and religious education of her children; is exhorted to abide in the doctrine of Christ, to persevere in the truth, and carefully to avoid the delusions of false teachers. But chiefly the apostle beseeches her to practise the great commandment of Christian love and charity.” – Matthew Henry Concise

The Feast

Fri, Sep 9, 11- 1 John 3 - “The apostle admires the love of God in making believers his children. (1, 2) The purifying influence of the hope of seeing Christ, and the danger of pretending to this, and living in sin. (3–10) Love to the brethren is the character of real Christians. (11–15) That love described by its actings. (16–21) The advantage of faith, love, and obedience. (22–24)” – Matthew Henry Concise

Sat, Sep 10, 11 - 1 John 4 - “Believers cautioned against giving heed to every one that pretends to the Spirit. (1–6)

Brotherly love enforced.(7–21)–29)” – Matthew Henry Concise

Sun, Sep 11, 11 - 1st John 5 - “Brotherly love is the effect of the new birth, which makes obedience to all God's commandments pleasant. (1–5) Reference to witnesses agreeing to prove that Jesus, the Son of God, is the true Messiah. (6–8) The satisfaction the believer has about Christ, and eternal life through him. (9–12) The assurance of God's hearing and answering prayer. (13–17) The happy condition of true believers, and a charge to renounce all idolatry.” – Matthew Henry Concise

Mon, Sep 12, 11 - 2 John 1 - “The apostle salutes the elect lady and her children. (1–3) Express his joy in their faith and love. (4–6) Cautions them against deceivers. (7–11) And concludes (12, 13)” – Matthew Henry Concise

God Bless you,
