The Best of the Feast
Aug.1, 2016 – Esther 5
Is Your Heart Healthy?
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We spend about fifteen minutes a day
praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully Feast in Esther 5;
Esther’s request, let the king and Haman is granted. Haman heart is
filled with hatred and he plans to hang Mordecai; “13 Yet
all this is worth nothing to me, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew
sitting at the king's gate.” 14 Then his wife
Zeresh and all his friends said to him, “Let a gallows fifty
cubits high be made, and in the morning tell the king to have Mordecai
hanged upon it. Then go joyfully with the king to the feast.” This idea
pleased Haman, and he had the gallows made.” Esther
5:13-14, English Standard Version (ESV). Hatred makes our
heart heavy and sick. Usually when we have a hateful attitude the
only one it hurts is us. If someone offends us and we even think in our
heart; “That Jerk!” we have sinned. By the same token if we see someone
who may be in need and we think “What a looser!” we’ve sinned. If
we love God and allow Jesus to rule our mind and heart we won’t have room for
sin. “Sing to God, sing praises to his name;
lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the Lord;
exult before him! Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in
his holy habitation.” Psalm
68:4-5, ESV. When are praising God and sharing our faith in
Jesus we have the right and light heart.
If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.
