The Best of the Feast
Feast is in God’s Word!
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We spend about fifteen minutes a day
praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully Feast in Esther 1; King
Ahasuerus hosts a lavish feast for all his officials and servants. The kings
wife Vashti refuses to to attend the feast. The king decrees that Vashti is
never again to come before him and she is to be replaced; “21
This advice pleased the king and the princes, and the king did as Memucan
proposed. 22 He sent letters to all the royal provinces, to every province in
its own script and to every people in its own language, that every man be
master in his own household and speak according to the language of his
people.” Esther
1:21-22, English Standard Version (ESV). As Christians
would we tear our marriage up when our spouse disagrees with
us? Certainly not Jesus tells us that we and our spouse
are one flesh. God never wanted man and woman to
divorce. So what should we do and how should we act when we
disagree with our spouse?“[Hearing and Doing the Word] Know this, my beloved
brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;”
James 1:19 ESV. The enemy is
the devil and God’s Word tells us how to handle our anguish; “Good sense
makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.” Proverbs 19:11 ESV. This is just one
more reason we Feast together. If the
Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “1 Therefore, since we are
surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every
weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with
endurance the race that is set before us,” Hebrews
12:1, ESV.
God Bless You,
Brother Mike
