God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and
reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. Gods Not Dead!
“17 For it is time for judgment to begin
at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome
for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” 1
Peter 4:17
Dear
Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 17;
“A parable relative to the Jewish nation. (1-10) to
which an explanation is added. (11-21) A
direct promise of the Messiah. (22-24)“
- Matthew
Henry Concise.
Conquerors are often depicted as eagles as it is in this
parable; (see Ezekiel
17:1-10) God uses their destructive actions to
serve His purpose. Zedekiah sinned
by being ungrateful to God (see Ezekiel
17:11-21) so Israel met up with God’s righteous Judgment. God’s
parable is explained to the Israelites (see Ezekiel
17:22-24) by the Lord’s Prophet Ezekiel; “24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I am the
LORD; I bring low the high tree, and make high the low tree, dry up the green
tree, and make the dry tree flourish. I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I
will do it."” Ezekiel 17:24 English
Standard Version (ESV). You and I walked in the darkness of the world (see
Ephesians 5:8)
until we accepted God’s gift of salvation; “12 But
to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the
flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John
1:12-13 ESV. Ask yourselves; how do I glorify
the Lord Jesus (see 2
Corinthians 5:20) am I truly His ambassador? How would Jesus frame the parable (see
Matthew
13:29-39) about
my life, how would it be explained?

“Through him you believe in God, who
raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in
God.” 1
Peter 1:21
Dear
Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 16;
“A parable showing the first low estate of the Jewish nation, its prosperity,
idolatries, and punishment“ - Matthew
Henry Concise.
God’s Word came to Ezekiel; concerning the people of
Jerusalem of their disgusting sins (see Ezekiel
16:1-58) and tell them that I, the Lord God,
am speaking! God warned Jerusalem of judgments, and
His mercy is reserved to keep them (see Ezekiel
16:59-63), through faith in God. The Lord makes a promise to Jerusalem;
“62 I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall know that I
am the LORD, 63 that you may remember and be confounded,
and never open your mouth again because of your shame, when I atone for
you for all that you have done, declares the Lord GOD." ” Ezekiel
16:62-63 English Standard Version (ESV). God’s Word makes the
future clear for (see
2
Corinthians 9:13) the person or nation who glorifies our Lord. By letting your light shine brightly you are
giving glory to God through Jesus; “14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a
hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do
people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives
light to all in the house. 16 In the same way,
let your light shine before others, so that they may see
your good works and give glory to your Father who is in
heaven.” Matthew
5:14-16 ESV. Use the gifts Jesus has
blessed you with (see 1
Corinthians 13:1-3) tempered with love. Pay attention Saints; it is up to us to
share the love of Jesus; (see Matthew
28:18-20) throughout the world until Jesus returns.

The Useless Vine
Today’s Feast
July 29, 2014-Ezekiel 15
The Useless Vine
Please join with us sharing
God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and
reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. Gods Not Dead!
“6 If
you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and
withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.” John 15:6
Dear
Saints,
“Jerusalem like an unfruitful vine.
- If a vine be fruitful,
it is valuable. But if not fruitful, it is worthless and useless, it is cast
into the fire. Thus man is capable of yielding a precious fruit, in living to
God; this is the sole end of his existence; and if he fails in this, he is of
no use but to be destroyed. What blindness then attaches to those who live in
the total neglect of God and of true religion! This similitude is applied to
Jerusalem. Let us beware of an unfruitful profession. Let us come to Christ,
and seek to abide in him, and to have his words abide in us.“ - Matthew Henry Concise.
God’s Word came to
Ezekiel; concerning Jerusalem no longer producing fruit (see Ezekiel 15)
it can only be used as firewood, once the ends are burnt and its middle is
charred, it can’t be used for anything.
That nation as a whole no longer glorifies God; “6 I, the Lord God, promise that just as the wood
of a grapevine is burned as firewood, 7 I will punish the people of Jerusalem with fire. Some of
them have escaped one destruction, but soon they will be completely burned.
And when that happens, you, Ezekiel, will know that I am the Lord. 8 I will make their country an empty wasteland, because they
have not been loyal to me. I, the Lord God, have spoken. ” Ezekiel 15:6-8 English Standard Version (ESV). God’s Word makes the
future clear (see Matthew 3:10) for
the person or nation who stops glorifying our Lord. God has given each believer gifts with
which to glorify God; “6 Having gifts
that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in
proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches,
in his teaching; 8 the one who
exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.” Romans 12:6-8 ESV.
Whatever gifts the Holy Spirit has blessed you with (see 1 Corinthians 13:1-3)
use that gift of God tempered with love for God’s glory. It is not enough to Just know who Jesus is;
(see James 2:18-20) each
of us must repent, ask Him in and lovingly produce good fruit.
Listen! Can you hear Jesus
calling you? Are you ready to answer
His call? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?
