Today’s Feast

Nov. 8, 2013 – Psalms 98 & 99
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our
Feast reading Psalms 98 & 99.
The Psalmist describes the glory and joy of
the people who choose God as their leader. “8
O Lord our God, you answered them;
you were a forgiving
God to them,
but an avenger of their
wrongdoings.
9 Exalt the Lord our God,
and worship at his holy
mountain;
for the Lord our God is
holy!” Psalm 99:8-9 - English Standard Version (ESV). Jesus
is the savior of the people who accept him as their leader. When we ask him into our hearts the weight
of the world is lifted of our shoulders (See Matthew 11:30). “15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the
Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers
served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose
land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”” Joshua 24:15 ESV. Those who
accept God’s gift of salvation have seen enough of the world to convince them
that any other path ends in sorrow and destruction (see Galatians 5:19-21).
Jesus is the answer for the world today! Hallelujah!

“1 First of all, then, I urge that
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all
people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a
peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV.
