Want to be in the band? – 1
Chronicles 25
March 7, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 25
Dear Saints,
Today we
prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 25.
Today we see the order in organization
for the temple and the worship of God.
Two hundred, musicians and singers for the worship service. “6 They were all
under the direction of their father in the music in the house of the Lord
with cymbals, harps, and lyres for the service of the house of God. Asaph,
Jeduthun, and Heman were under the order of the king. 7 The number of them
along with their brothers, who were trained in singing to the Lord, all who
were skillful, was 288.” 1 Chronicles 25:6-7, English Standard Version
(ESV). What a worship service that
must be? Does that give you a hint
about what heaven will be like. “Search me, O God,
and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any
grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” Psalm 139:23-24
ESV. Some people think that heaven
will be everlasting boring. The believers
will get wings and float around on pretty white clouds. I think that every clean soul that enters
heaven will be rejoicing, singing and worshiping God. The only way anyone can be numbered in
saints in heaven is through Jesus. If
anyone says there is any other way into heaven they are a liar. I don’t think we can imagine what the
future in God’s heavenly kingdom will be like. I do know this however; I for one want to
be in the band, when I get to heaven.
