Christ centered! – 1 Chronicles 3
Feb 13, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 3
Dear Saints,
Today we are prayerfully reading, 1 Chronicles 3. Here we see the lineage of all the families
of David king of Israel. Jesus the Christ
as promised by God and witnessed by the Holy Word came from this blood line. All the children raised in the righteousness
of God enjoy many benefits. “1 These are the sons
of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, by Ahinoam the
Jezreelite; the second, Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelite, 2 the third,
Absalom, whose mother was Maacah... 54
The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab and half of
the Manahathites, the Zorites. 55 The clans also of the scribes who lived at
Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites and the Sucathites. These are the
Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.”1
Chronicles 3:1-2…54-55, English Standard Version (ESV). We have witnessed again and again God never
changes. Doesn’t it stand to reason
the children of Christian parents, raised and taught in the righteousness of
Jesus still benefit? “[ For God So
Loved the World ] “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 ESV. Saints, the child raised in a Christian
home, where the laws of God set the standard, will grow up keeping the first
thing first. That is salvation through
the blood of the Lamb. “All your children shall be
taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”
Isaiah 54:13 ESV. If you truly want
the best for your children, raise them in a Jesus centered home.

“it does not rejoice at
wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all
things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13: 6-7 ESV.
